Na categoria Open Local, em que competem apenas surfistas da cidade onde a etapa ocorre e não é válida para formação de ranking, vitória do experiente Renato Wanderley, um dos maiores surfistas de Santos de todos os tempos. Em segundo lugar ficou o tricampeão paulista profissional Jair Oliveira (1994, 1997, 1998), seguido de Matheus Salazar e de Douglas Noronha.
A definição de adiantar o cronograma e realizar três finais no sábado e não no domingo, como previsto inicialmente, foi para aproveitar as boas condições do mar e também porque as previsões apontam que as ondas diminuirão de tamanho e isso poderia prejudicar o nível técnico das disputas.
